Airplane
Today, people can easily go to one country after another because airplane was invented. People who want to relocate to another country to start a new life and become successful was made easy with this form of transportation. Did you know who invented it?

Who Invented The Airplane?

The first successful airplane was built and invented by Wilbur and Orville Wright. On December 17, 1903, they made the first flight in a power-driven, heavier-than-air machine near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. On that day, 3 flights were made. The longest was 260 metres in 59 seconds by Wilbur.

However, no one took much notice of the Wright brothers’ achievements. In fact, their invention remained unrecognized for five years. Till then, they have worked on enhancing their airplane along with their flight techniques. They strongly believed that airplanes that would be used one day in order to transport passengers and mail.

In 1926, Floyd Bennet and Richard E. Byrd flew across the North Pole. And in 1927, Charles Lindbergh made the very first solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean. These pioneers have indeed showed the way to the other pilots.

Inventors have indeed continued to improve airplanes – this actually led to the invention of jets, which are now being used by commercial and military airlines.
