The Origin Of Using Green Tea
Today, the use of green tea is already very popular not only for health reasons but for beauty as well. However, not many people actually know the history or origin of using green tea. Although many people know that people in China were the first ones to use it, it is not very clear how those people came to discover green tea’s health benefits.
Just like the history of coffee, green tea leaves were actually chewed and eaten fresh. And as the time goes by, more and more people are eating green tea leaves and began to use them when cooking. They have found out that boiling the leaves of green tea do not add flavour to their drinking water but it provides many health benefits.
The use of green tea was recorded way back 3000 years ago in southwest China. However, it was in the early 1900’s that the use of green tea became popular in many other countries.
