The Different Home Lighting Layers
For many home experts, choosing the right lighting for every room in the house plays a great part when it comes to its overall beauty. And so, it is very important that you know how to put or install the right lighting for the particular room in your house. Learn about the different layers of lighting before actually installing them.
- Ambient light. This is actually the first layer of lighting. This is the indirect light that lights the room evenly. Natural light from outside the house is one example of ambient light.
- Task lighting. This is for the certain parts of the house such as your office or library. Examples of task lighting are under-counter lights and reading lamps.
- Accent lights. This is usually to highlight the room’s architecture.
- Decorative lights. These are almost just the same with accent lights because it highlights the beauty of the whole house. Examples are chandeliers, side lights and garden lights.
