The World’s Largest Warehouses And Buildings

Did you know that the Boeing Everett Factory in Washington is the world’s largest warehouse? Its size is as big as 80 football fields! Coming in at about 4.3 million square feet with a volume of 472 million cu ft, it is also the world’s largest building by volume. Carts are used by most people to get around the area. The warehouse is the assembly site for the different large aircrafts that Boeing manufactures.

The Target Import Warehouse in Lacey, Washington is the second largest warehouse in the world with a volume of 262.4 million cu ft. This built to distribute imported products to the company’s distribution centers.

By Footprint
The largest building by footprint in the world is the Aalsmeer Flower Auction building in Netherlands covering about 10.6 million sq ft and a footprint of 518,000 m². Around 20 million flowers from all over the world are traded every day in this gigantic building.

By Floor Space
In terms of total floor area, Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 in Dubai is the largest building. It is also the busiest and the largest airport terminal in the world. In terms of cargo, it is the 6th-busiest airfreight hub in the world and the busiest in the Middle East.
