The Most Common Causes Of Relationship Breakups

These days, the rate of couples filing for divorce is actually increasing. This is not because divorce has already been legalized in most countries but mainly because more and more couples are experiencing relationship problems that they no longer would want to solve. And so, they end up deciding that they should just break up.

There are several different factors why couples break up. And the following are the most common causes of relationship breakups.

- Communication problems. According to studies, this is the most common reason why many couples failed to succeed in their relationship. The lack of communication is one factor that may not have given much importance but is actually the number one cause of relationship breakups. Couples no longer spend time to talk and as a result, they find it hard to share their thoughts and problems with each other.

- Loss of connection. 21% of divorcees say that the main cause for their breakup is the loss of connection. This is actually the result of their lack of communication which is the number one factor for relationship breakups.

- Infidelity and trust issues. Surprisingly, infidelity and trust issues rank the third only among the common causes of breakups. Infidelity may be considered as both the result and the reason for not being able to communicate with each other. Hence, trust issues develop.
