Different Types Of Aquarium


For people who love to have a fish as their pet, choosing the right aquarium is very important. Since there are actually several types of aquarium, you need to know how one differ from the other so you will be able choose which one of right for your fish. Check out the different types of aquarium below:

- Freshwater tropical aquarium. This is actually considered as the standard aquarium that most people choose for their hobby. This should have a water temperature of between 72-84 degrees Fahrenheit.

- Coldwater aquariums. This type of aquarium has a temperature of below 70 degrees. This is best for goldfish, koi and other coldwater freshwater types of fish.

- Marine aquariums. This is a type of aquarium that a little more expensive compared to the previous two mentioned above. This is mainly for keeping corals and other beautiful and colorful fishes. It uses saltwater.

- Brackish aquariums. This type of aquarium uses a mixture of saltwater and freshwater. This is not a very common type of aquarium and only a selection of fish like the Puffer can survive in this aquarium.
